ParkMobile is a great, time saving application and if you haven’t already done so, we encourage you to sign up for it. However, when entering your license plate number(s) into your ParkMobile account, it is very important that you double check to ensure that you have added it correctly. This is also true if you have more than one vehicle registered, to make sure that you select the correct car.  When we do a ParkMobile scan, it is based on the license plate number that YOU entered. If you mistype your number, even if it’s only off by one letter or digit, when we verify payment with our mobile device, it will not reflect payment and you will be issued a ticket for Overtime Parking. While there have been occasional instances where the timing has been off, we can verify that by comparing the time the ticket was written with when your ParkMobile payment was activated, the majority of them are due to incorrectly typed license plate numbers. Once a ticket is issued, we cannot rescind it. If the ticket was written due to an incorrectly typed license plate number you must either pay the ticket or you have the right to dispute it by going to the Bloomfield Municipal Court. Please note, it is at the discretion of the presiding judge to dismiss the ticket.
