About Us
The Township of Bloomfield Parking Utility (“BP”) was established by ordinance on Sept 18th, 2017 by the Mayor and Council of the Township Bloomfield. Working with the Township Administrator, the Mayor and Council will set policy and establish goals to enhance parking availability and enforcement to better serve our residents and customers.
BP is responsible for managing all municipal metered and permit-based parking, as well as the enforcement of applicable laws, ordinances, and regulations governing the parking of vehicles throughout the Township. The Township will continually seek to develop and implement creative parking solutions to support economic growth and redevelopment.
The BP’s daily mission is to improve parking in Bloomfield by providing well maintained, clean, and safe parking options for residents, businesses, and visitors.
The BP’s Glenwood Parking Garage is a cornerstone of the planned redevelopment at Glenwood Village. In all, the Glenwood Village is a three-acre transit village that in addition to the parking garage contains 50,000 square feet of retail space, 10,000 square feet of restaurant space, and 224 residential units. There are 3 additional redevelopment projects in the planning stages that will bring additional improvements to the Township.
